How does BookVideographer work?
BookVideographer is a directory of independent videographers and small studios. Browse by category, country or city, watch their reels, then contact the videographer directly. We do not sit between you and the booking, and we do not take a commission on the work.
Do you charge a commission on bookings?
No. We charge videographers a one-time listing fee. Clients never pay anything to BookVideographer. The full project budget goes to the videographer you book.
How are videographers vetted before being listed?
Every submission is reviewed by our team before going live. We check that the showreel works, the contact information is real, and the business has a legitimate web presence. We are not a rating site, but we remove listings that get repeated client complaints.
What if I am unhappy with the videographer I booked?
Since the contract is between you and the videographer, any dispute is resolved with them directly. We recommend always agreeing the brief, deliverables, turnaround and total price in writing before any payment changes hands. If you feel the listing misrepresented their work, contact us and we will look into it.
How much does it cost to hire a videographer?
It varies. A short brand video might start at 500 to 1,500 USD. Wedding films usually run 1,500 to 5,000 USD. High-end commercial or music video work can easily be 10,000 USD and up. Each listing has a starting price guide and the videographer will quote on your specific brief.
Can I list myself as a videographer?
Yes. Head to the Add Your Profile page. Standard listings are a one-time payment for a lifetime spot in the directory. We also have a Featured tier that pins you above standard results.
Do you have a refund policy on listings?
Yes, listings come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you change your mind in the first month, email us and we will refund the full listing fee, no questions asked.
How do I update my listing after it is live?
Send us a message via the contact form. Photo updates, gallery swaps, new reels, and contact changes are free for the life of your listing. We aim to push changes within one business day.
What countries can I book videographers in?
We list videographers worldwide. The largest catalogues today are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France and Spain, but every country page in the directory updates as new professionals join.
How quickly should I book a videographer for an event?
For weddings, four to nine months in advance is normal. For corporate shoots, brand films and music videos, two to six weeks is usually enough. Same-day jobs are sometimes possible for short social or news content if you reach out early in the morning.
Do videographers travel?
Most do. Their listing page shows their home city and country, but many will travel regionally or internationally for the right project. Ask about travel fees and minimum trip length when you make first contact.
What deliverables should I expect from a booking?
Typical deliverables include a hero film, social-format cutdowns, raw footage backup, and a colour-corrected master. For weddings, you usually also get a same-week highlight reel and a full ceremony cut. Always confirm deliverables and timelines in writing before the shoot.
